Vastu for Bedrooms

The bedroom is closely tied to rest, and Vastu guidance for this room focuses heavily on bed placement, direction and a sense of enclosure and stability.

The south-west zone is traditionally favoured for the primary bedroom, associated with stability and grounding. The bed itself is generally positioned so the head points south or east, and away from direct alignment with the door.

Mirrors facing the bed, and beds positioned directly beneath ceiling beams, are commonly flagged in assessments — both are simple, non-structural adjustments in most homes.

For children's rooms and guest rooms, the same principles apply with some flexibility, adapted to the room's actual position within the home's overall layout.
