Vastu vs Architecture: What is the Difference?

Architecture is concerned with structure, safety, function and aesthetics — how a building stands, how it's used and how it looks. Vastu is concerned with orientation, zoning and the relationship between spaces, directions and the people who use them.

The two disciplines address different, complementary questions. An architect determines how a staircase is engineered; a Vastu consultation might advise on where that staircase sits within the overall plan.

Good outcomes come from involving both early. When a Vastu consultant works alongside an architect from the concept stage, directional guidance can be incorporated into the design naturally, rather than retrofitted afterward.

This is why we position our services as a consultancy that partners with architects and engineers, rather than one that operates independently of structural and design expertise.
